===================== Real Millennium Group ** Guild Wars ** ===================== 1) A Gift for Althea Quest 2) The Rogue's Replacement Quest 3) The Poison Devourer Quest 4) The Worm Problem Quest ***************************************************************** ***************************************************************** 1) To unlock this quest, find Captain Osiric and Price Rurik just to the NW of the archway leading to and from Ascalon/Lakeside County. Stand by the pair and listen to the conversation they have - once they finish, the green exclamation point will appear above Osiric, allowing you to add the quest to your log. Be sure you have either completed the "Charr at the Gate" Quest or have not yet added it to your log, as this Quest will supercede the "Althea" quest until is is complete or abandoned. The "Althea" quest also requires you to find 3 items for Osiric. The order you find them or give them to Osiric does not matter. He will need the: Beautiful Pendant - which is found in a chest, near the bandit camp, along the path through the hills which lay between Ascalon and Ashford Abbey. Beautiful Feather - which is found in a semi-fenced field in the town of Ashford. You should be able to see it from the road as you stand near the merchant, guard, and collector. Beautiful Pearl - which is found in a shell on the beach of the lake near Miller Upton's house in Ashford. However, you need not go through the process of finding these items to complete this quest. After you talk to Osiric, if you go to Althea and talk to her at any point thereafter, she will offer the same reward and you will have completed the quest as well as have gotten Prince Rurik in hot water with his soon to be wife. **Update - In one of the game's updates, the ability to complete this quest by talking to Althea has apparently been removed. It is still worth talking to Althea after unlocking this quest, however just to make sure, as a future update may reinsert it. Of special note, you will also find a Skale Brood in the cave on the other side of the lake from the shell. The Skale uses a special skill to regenerate it's health, so make sure you are of level 4-5 in order to survive the battle. ***************************************************************** ***************************************************************** 2) To unlock The Rogue's Replacement, you first must complete The Mesmer's Burden Quest given by Althea. Regardless of whether you accept Mesmer as your second profession or not, once you accept the award for The Mesmer's Burden, you will be able to unlock this quest from Old Mack. However, if you have already choosen a second profession without accepting and completing the Mesmer's Burden Quest, you will not be able to unlock this quest. It may be possible to find an ally who has not yet completed the Mesmer's quest and follow through to unlock this quest, but I have not yet tested this theory. Once the Rogue bull is killed and the award accepted, leave Lakeside County (either go back into Ascalon, or enter another portal). Once you return to Lakside, travel along the road between Althea and the Ascalon City archway and you should see Old Mack walking along the road. You will need to let him talk to Althea before he will offer the quest. Talk to him to get the quest. You will then need to get a Devourer Egg, either by completing the Egg Hunter Quest or by trading for it with the Skale Fin collector next to the archway. ***************************************************************** ***************************************************************** 3) To unlock the Poison Devourer Quest from Baron Egan, your character must be level 2 or better. You then need to go into the caverns on the other side of the river near Ascalon to find and kill the Devourer that will drop the Stinger you need to complete the quest. This is the same cavern where the Egg Hunter Quest takes place. ***************************************************************** ***************************************************************** 4) To unlock the Worm Problem, you simply need to talk to Pitney, however, in order to start the quest, you will need one of the Devourer Eggs you get either from solving the Egg Hunter Quest, or trade for with the Skale Fin collector right outside of the Ascalon/Lakeside County arch. Once you give the Egg to Pitney, the quest will begin.
